General Application Requirements

(applicable to all scholarship types)

• Must be a citizen of the Republic of Turkey

• Must be enrolled in a formal (on-campus) education program in Turkey

• Cannot be enrolled in open education, distance learning, or paid programs

• Cannot receive the same type of TEV scholarship (e.g., University Scholarship) if a sibling is already receiving it

• Must meet the financial need criteria (except for merit-based scholarships)

• No interruption of education due to disciplinary action or academic failure

• Receiving a scholarship from another public or private institution does not prevent application. However, if awarded a TEV Scholarship, other scholarships must be cancelled.

• While these rules generally apply, certain exceptional cases may exist.

University (Undergraduate) Scholarship

• Must be enrolled in an associate (önlisans) or bachelor’s program at a public university

• For current students, a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50/4.00 (or 65/100)

• Must be under 25 years of age

• Must not have previously graduated from any bachelor’s program

• Number of failed courses is not considered

• Students advancing from a preparatory class must provide proof of progression

• For students admitted via the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS): an associate degree GPA of at least 2.80/4.00 (or 70/100) is required.

Graduate (Master’s) Scholarship

• Must be in the first year of a thesis-based master’s program or in the scientific preparatory stage

• Must have a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.00/4.00

• Must have scored at least 80 (or equivalent) on the Foreign Language Exam (YDS)

• Must be under 30 years of age
