Undergraduate
Fırat University Psychological Counseling and Guidance Department started its undergraduate education activities with 57 students in the Fall Semester of the 2018-2019 Academic Year.
Student admission to the undergraduate program is made according to the principles determined by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) and the Measurement, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM). Graduate students who successfully complete the program by meeting all requirements receive a Bachelor's Degree Diploma in Psychological Counseling and Guidance. Successfully completing all courses in the program and having a GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 is a qualification requirement for graduation.
The aim of the Psychological Counseling and Guidance undergraduate program is to provide psychological counselor candidates with a general psychological counseling and guidance formation and to train psychological counselors needed by health, sports, justice and industrial institutions, especially educational institutions. Program graduates can mostly work as psychological counselors in primary school, secondary school, high school and higher education institutions, as well as other health, sports, justice and industrial institutions and organizations.
