As part of our university's 50th anniversary celebrations, the fifth event of the 50th Anniversary Talks was held within our department. The speaker of the event, titled "Core Principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Case Analysis" was Prof. Dr. Murad Atmaca, a faculty member of the Department of Psychiatry at our university’s Faculty of Medicine.

The event was held with the participation of Prof. Dr. Mehmet Nuri Gömleksiz, Dean of the Faculty of Education; Dr. Yahya Şahin, Head of the Department; our faculty members Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nesrullah Okan, Dr. Nihat Köse, Dr. Göktürk Hayli; and many of our students.

During the session, Prof. Dr. Atmaca addressed the theoretical foundations of CBT, the techniques used in therapy processes, and case-based practical applications. Through interactive evaluations of real case examples, participants had the opportunity to explore the practical dimensions of CBT in depth. The event attracted great interest and offered valuable contributions to the training of future mental health professionals.
