A comprehensive training program on the accreditation process was organized for the faculty members of the Department of Psychological Counseling and Guidance at our Faculty by the Psychological Counseling and Guidance Education Programs Evaluation and Accreditation Unit (PDR-EPDAB) of the Turkish Psychological Counseling and Guidance Association.

The program commenced with a visit to our Vice Rector, Prof. Dr. Mahmut Doğru, and continued throughout the day with both face-to-face and online sessions. Prof. Dr. Ragıp Özyürek and Prof. Dr. Nursel Topkaya participated in person, while Prof. Dr. Erdal Hamarta, Prof. Dr. Zeynep Karataş, Prof. Dr. Yasemin Yavuzer, Prof. Dr. Aslı Uz Baş, Prof. Dr. Fatma Sapmaz, Prof. Dr. Meral Atıcı, Prof. Dr. Özlem Mutlu Tagay, Prof. Dr. Ayşenur Büyükgöze Kavas, Prof. Dr. Tuğba Sarı, Prof. Dr. Fikret Gülaçtı, Associate Prof. Dr. Özlem Ulaş Kılıç, and Dr. Ahmet Togay contributed to the program online.

The training covered various topics, including the quality of undergraduate education in Psychological Counseling and Guidance, individual counseling practices, school counseling practices, group counseling practices, career counseling practices, national accreditation standards, and PDR-EPDAB evaluation reports. During the sessions, comprehensive discussions were held on quality assurance in educational programs, continuous improvement efforts, and key considerations in accreditation processes.

The program, conducted through interactive discussions and exchange of ideas, made a significant contribution to enhancing faculty members’ knowledge and experience regarding accreditation procedures.
